As an Analyst, my responsibilities include investment research, liaising with portfolio companies, and analyzing existing and potential portfolio companies.

While in business school earning my MBA, I interned with FICO in Chicago for the Asia-Pacific marketing department. After graduation, I moved to New York and worked in the investor relations field, specializing in Chinese companies listed in the U.S. until I joined the Barron team.

I have learned a lot about the investment process at Barron and its focus on identifying growing companies that are making a real difference in the world. We help these companies create shareholder value while they fill an economic/social void, improving the environment and raising the quality of life for people. This has been really fulfilling for me, both professionally and personally.

Alternative Energy: I believe China's long-term, predictable central government policies favor this sector for the foreseeable future. The long-term outlook for natural resources is extremely positive, and it is exciting to see companies working on new technologies or methods to simultaneously increase energy efficiency, and improve the global environment and overall quality of life.

Christmas. Beyond the religious implications, the holiday brings people together. It is a time to share with family and friends, and perhaps to make new friends.

I am involved with the Museum of Modern Art. I believe it is a great institution that captures people's interest and imagination, and encourages them to be compassionate and live to help others.
